Liz participated in these seven bills by presenting evidence from our community and bringing up other community members to testify at committee hearings

Liz takes community members to Denver Capitol and educates them on how to work on bills to support our communities since 2016

She has also provided trainings on this to other PFAS water coalitions in other states so more regulations are passed

Her teamwork has resulted in the EPA taking on PFAS as a regulated chemical for the first time in EPA's history

Liz Rosenbaum continues fighting for environmental justice here by attending CDPHE meetings and ensuring grant money from the first PFAS bill is implemented in a rural area. It took more than 8 years for this to happen, despite local municipalities filtering since 2016 with DoD support 

$110,000 grant in 2022 for household pitchers with filters

$300,000 + for a 3 part study starting in January 2025

More funding will be available 

Liz Rosenbaum traveled to Washington DC to talk with our federal elected officials to make sure PFAS funding was available in the infrastructure bill. And it is included with more becoming available. 

And she wants to make sure our community uses this money immediately

After the 2018 election, Liz Rosenbaum requested a meeting with Attorney General Phil Weiser. He arranged a meeting with his top environmental justice and consumer protection attorneys. With the evidence Liz provided from her research and information from our community members the message was heard. 

Soon after this meeting, AG Phil Weiser filed a lawsuit against the manufacturers on behave of the people of Colorado.
